Pune: Burglars target Lohegaon, Warje houses

Pune: Burglars targeted the Lohegaon and Warje areas during the last weekend. In two burglary cases reported from these areas, thieves stole items worth Rs 3 Lakh.

Abhishek Shahane (31), resident of Urit Nagar area, lodged a complaint of theft at Malwadi Police station. When he returned from work on Saturday afternoon, he realized his house was burgled. The thieves broke into the house by cutting the window sill. The suspects stole jewelry worth Rs 1.82 lakh from a cupboard of Shahane’s bedroom, the application states.

Similarly, a 34-year-old woman lodged a complaint at the Airport police station in connection with a theft at the Sanjay park area of Lohegaon. Cash worth Rs 2500 and laptop, gold jewelry worth Rs 91,000 was stolen from her house.
