Pune Accident News | Two dead and one injured in a road accident on Pune Solapur Highway
npnews24 – Two people died and one was injured in a road accident on Pune Solapur Highway on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.
According to police, the accident took place when two trucks and one container collided with each other near Kunjirwadi near Dhanashree Mangal Karyalay.
Lonikalbhor Police has identified the deceased as truck drive Anil Ankush Suryavanshi resident of Kelgaon, Nilanga Tehsil of Latur while the deceased cleaner is Shakil Ismile Shaikh resident of Basavklyan district Bidar in Karnataka. Container driver Annasaheb Ganpat Gaikwad (44) resident of Mundhwa is seriously injured and admitted to a hospital at Loni Kalbhor.
According to Rajendra Mokashi, Senior Police Inspector of Loni Kalbhor, the accident took place early morning when the container was taking turn on the highway. A speeding truck heading from Pune to Solapur rammed into the turning container killing the drive and cleaner of the truck. Meanwhile, the container was hit by another truck coming from Solapur dashed the container injuring the container driver.
The accident had such an impact that residents of the society could hear it, who soon reached the spot and informed Loni Kalbhor police about it.
