Pune: 53-year-old man murdered near Baner

Pune: A 53-year-old man was murdered on Monday near Baner along the Katraj Dehu Road bypass in Pune city.

According to the hinjewadi police some people stabbed the man to death and also tried to burn the body to destroy the evidence. Some people spotted the incident and informed police about the same.

When the police reached they found that the body was half burned and when they searched they found a phone in the burnt man’s pocket and with that they detected the identity of the burnt person who was Sandeep Mainkar who was from Sindhudurg district. This information was given by assistant inspector uddhav khade.

He said that Mainker was unemployed and was very poor so he used to sleep in the vegetable market, his son lives in pimpri wirth relatives.

Police is yet to find the reason behind the reason behind mainkers murder as he was stabbed with sharp weapon and  was burnt brutally but his body didn’t burnt in the fire only clothes were damaged.
