Pune: 22-year-old dies by suicide, rumored to have an affair with a minister from Vidarbha

Pune: A 22-year-old woman died by suicide in Mohammad Wadi area of Wanwadi on Sunday night (February 7), the police said. Reportedly, the woman had an affair with a former Minister from Vidarbha. A case has been registered at Wanwadi police station.

According to the information received, the deceased has been identified as Pooja Chavan (resident of 7 Park in Lane No. 10 in Mohammad Wadi). Police are further investigating the case to derive the motive behind her suicide. Meanwhile, the body of the concerned girl was taken to Sassoon Hospital for post-mortem.

According to the police, there were rumors about Pooja’s affair with a minister from Vidarbha, but concrete information has been received yet.  Police are investigating the whereabouts of the case.
