Pulwama Attacker’s Assistant Arrested, NIA Reveals – Explosives were Ordered Online

Srinagar : npnews24 : NIA has got a big success in the terror attack case of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir. The investigating agency made its first arrest in the case on Friday. The NIA has arrested Shakir Bashir Magre, a terrorist and over-ground worker of Jaish-e-Mohammed, from Kashmir. Shakir gave shelter and other assistance to suicide bomber Adil Ahmed Dar. Shakir is a resident of Pulwama and has a furniture shop.

Adil Ahmed Dar was the one who rode in the car and got into a convoy of security forces. 40 CRPF personnel were killed in this attack. Shakir revealed that he had given shelter to Adil Ahmed Dar and another terrorist Mohammed Umar Farooq from last year of 2018 till the attack in February.

Shakir Bashir also helped create the IED. He will now remain in NIA custody for 15 days. During this, the NIA will get more information related to the attack from him.

How did Adil attack?

On 14 February 2019, CRPF bus was attacked on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Pulwama. At around 3.30 pm, Adil Ahmed Dar came in a car and drove into CRPF convoy. After which the bus collided with the explosion and the bus filled with CRPF personnel was destroyed. Other vehicles around the bus were also damaged. 40 soldiers were killed in this attack.

Video of bomb making from mastermind’s mobile found

The NIA obtained some information on Friday from the mobile of Kamran alias Ghazi Rashid, the mastermind of the attack. Kamran was killed on February 18, four days after the attack. A few videos have been found in Kamran’s mobile, which explains how to make bombs using RDX.

NIA has solid evidence that the explosive came from Pakistan. Some phone numbers of Jaish commander are also found. One name has been identified as Omar, a terrorist of Jaish. The NIA had earlier arrested Mohammad Ishfaq Bhat, from whom explosives were recovered.
