Private sector retirement age now 60

NPnews24 Online, Raipur: Addressing issue of labourer union, Chhattisgarh government has decided to increase the retirement age of industrial labourers working in private sector to 60 years from current 58 years, senior bureaucrat explained.

This has been decided by the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to increase retirement age to 60 years from existing 58 years. Employees and labourers working in various undertakings, factories, and industries would now retire at age of 60 years, Baghel added.

All this coming under the Chhattisgarh Industrial Employment (standing order) act, 1961, and the Chhattisgarh Industrial Employment (Standing Order) Rule, 1963. Into this regard, final notification will be issued within 15 days after disposing of the suggestion received from all stake-holders.
