Possibility of rain with strong winds in four districts of Marathwada

Parbhani : The weather in the state has changed over the last three days and for the next five days, it will be cloudy everywhere. The meteorological department of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University in Parbhani has also forecast thunderstorms and rain in four districts of Marathwada.

Due to the basin condition formed on the west coast of the state, cloudy weather is forming everywhere and it is raining in Konkan, Marathwada and Vidarbh. The same weather will continue for the next four days and Beed, Osmanabad, Latur and Jalna districts of Marathwada are likely to receive strong winds and rains on January 7 with thunderstorms. Following this forecast, Dr. Kailas Dakhore, a meteorologist in the meteorological department of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani, has appealed to the farmers to take proper care of their crops like tur, fruit and gram.

The weather in Konkan has been cloudy for the last two days and it is likely to remain cloudy for another four to five days. It is likely to rain at some places in Konkan for the next four to five days as a result of cloudy weather. It is expected to rain with thunderstorms, said Parag Haldankar, Director, Balasaheb Konkan Agricultural University. As a result of the changing climate, mango crops are likely to be affected by thrips or powdery mildew disease.
