Pooja Banerjee takes a day off from the shoot to attend Durga Pooja

Pooja Banerjee who plays the role of Anurag’s (Parth Samthaan) sister, Nivedita Basu, waits patiently for this time of the year to bring out her Bengali roots. Expressing her excitement, Pooja revealed, “This is the most exciting time of the year for me. For Bengalis, we celebrate Durga Puja with a great zeal and fervour. I just love wearing sari in the Bengali style, specifically for Dashami. I am waiting for Dashami because it is on this day we have the special ritual called Sindoor Khela where all married women play with sindoor. Also, eating bhog is a must for me on Ashtami. I especially love the succulent khichidi with mixed vegetables and kheer.  This year, I am taking a day off from shooting to go puja pandal hopping.”
