PM Modi gets first dose of Covaxin at AIIMS, Asks eligible citizens to get vaccinated

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday took the first dose of Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin against the coronavirus disease at the AIIMS in New Delhi. The Prime Minister shared a picture on Twitter where two healthcare workers are seen administering him with the Covid-19 vaccine.

The second phase of corona vaccination has started across the country from today. After getting the first dose of vaccine, PM Modi has asked eligible citizens to get vaccinated.

PM Modi tweeted and wrote, “Took my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS. Remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19. I appeal to all those who are eligible to take the vaccine. Together, let us make India COVID-19 free!”

The second phase of corona vaccination in the country starts on Monday. In this, the corona vaccine will be given to senior citizens i.e. those who are 60 or above years as well as those between 45 to 59 years who are suffering from serious diseases.

Today, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also start the next phase of vaccination campaign at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sheikhpura, Patna campus. With this, Nitish Kumar will become the first CM of the country to take the Corona vaccine.

According to the information, in addition to CM Nitish Kumar, in Patna IGIMS, many ministers and MLAs will also get the Corona vaccine. All the citizens in the state will get the corona vaccine for free. No one will have to pay any fee for the vaccine in any private or government hospital.
