Pimpri metro work underway in full swing

NPnews24 online, Pimpri: The construction of both the phases of the metro station of Sant Tukaram Nagar station has been completed and the second phase of the Fugewadi Station is underway in full swing.  The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is focusing on completion of the work as soon as possible with the aim of starting the metro between these two stations from December 31.

While inaugurating the Shivajinagar-Hinjawadi metro line in Pune, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced that metro will start on the twelve-kilometer route by the end of December. To fulfill that promise, MahaMetro has decided to give priority to the metro work of the Pimpri Chinchwad as well as the metro work on Karve Road in Pune.

The metro is likely to start in March next year between Anand Nagar to Karve Road near Garware College on Paud Road. The Sant Tukaram Nagar station will be the first station to be completed in the Pune Metro project.
