Pimpri-Chinchwad: ACP Nandkishore Bhosale-Patil gets Special Branch, ACP Nandkumar Pinjan posted in Administration

PCMC: A month ago IPS officer Krishna Prakash was appointed as Police Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad. The Commissioner has now appointed newly transferred Assistant Commissioners of Police. Assistant Commissioner of Police Nandkishore Bhosale-Patil has been posted at the Special Branch while Nandkumar Pinjan has been posted as Assistant Commissioner of Police Administration. Pinjan has been given additional charge of Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pimpri.
ACP Nandkishore Bhosale from Solapur Lohmarg and Nandkumar Pinjan from State Secret News, Pune were transferred to Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Ramchandra Jadhav and Ashwini Kedar of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate have been transferred.
The ACP Ramchandra Jadhav has resigned; the additional post of Chakan Assistant Commissioner of Police has been handed over to Assistant Commissioner of Police Sanjay Naik-Patil.
The PCMC police commissionerate has always complained of lack of manpower. They have several times raised issues related to human resources and inadequate mode of transport. The shortage included the lack of four assistant commissioners of police, independent armoury, BDDS squad, independent hospital, Rapid Action Force Unit (RAF). According to media reports, the reason behind is most likely to be the lack of funds of the state department, as the commissionerate is dependent on CSR funds and also PCMC. Post lockdown, the area is facing issues like rising two wheeler thefts and house breaking incidents across the commissionerate area.
The force has a strength of 2,000 personnel although the requirement is of 7,000 personnel, according to the commissioner. As per the 2011 census, PCMC had a population of 1.72 million which is estimated to have grown to 2.08 million.
A 1988-batch IPS officer, Prakash is known to be the first civil servant in India who completed the Ironman Triathlon in France in 2017.
