Personal Data of Many Celebrities Including Priyanka Chopra, Lady Gaga Hacked

Mumbai : From a reputed media and entertainment firm based in the US, the data of many eminent personalities like Priyanka Chopra, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Bruce Springsteen has been stolen where hackers Personal data of these celebrities has been hacked. According to a report, hackers have stolen a total of 756 GB of data from this New York-based firm, including contacts, secret contracts, phone numbers, email addresses and personal conversations.

The name of this law firm is Grubman Shire Meiselas and Sachs, which is also known as GSMLaw.com. Here, someone in the name of Revil Malware demanded a ransom.

Other celebrities whose personal data has been stolen include Christina Aguilera, Maria Carrie, Jessica Simpson, Naomi Campbell, Robert De Niro, Sophia Vergara, Spike Lee, The Osborns (Ozzy, Sharon and Kelly) and more. No comments have been made on behalf of representatives of this law firm and their website GSMLaw.com is also offline at the moment, where only their logo is visible.

Along with this, the firm’s client or client list includes Discovery, EMI Music Group, Facebook, HBO, IMAX, MTV, NBA Entertainment, Playboy Enterprises, Samsung Electronics, Sony Crops, Spotify, Tribeca Film Festival, Universal Music Group.

According to Sophos, a global cyber security firm, Ransomware (ransom-seeking software) stole the personal data of their celebrity clients, rather than just temporarily stopping the work of the law firm. Sophos said that in such ransomware attacks, cyber-criminals demand ransom by threatening the disclosure of stolen data.
