PCMC to recruit 4,292 posts through direct recruitment

Pimpri : NpNews24 Online – The state government has approved direct recruitment of employees in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). The civic body has been included in the B category municipal corporations.

The PCMC’s new administrative structure has been readied. Hence, 4,292 posts will be filled in the civic body through direct recruitment. The recruitment process will be conducted by the PCMC.

There has been a demand to recruit employees from time to time. The state urban development department instructed the PCMC to restrict administrative expenses within the 35% limit in a meeting held to review the financial condition of the civic body.

The PCMC will soon start the recruitment process. The essential posts will be filled on priority, including those from the medical, health, water supply departments. Posts such as clerks, administrative officers, engineers and other essential employees will be recruited.

It has come to the notice that irregularities happen while recruiting people through a private agency. Hence, the civic body is implementing the process itself. This was revealed by Administrative Department Deputy Municipal Commissioner Subhash Ingle.
