India might need to explore the option of a sub-conventional military response to deter Pakistan from ceasefire violations against India in the Kashmir Valley.

The army has foiled the infiltration of terrorists on August 7 in Gurez of North Kashmir. However, in this effort, one Major and three army Jawan  have been killed.

Pakistan has once again infringed the ceasefire who did firing in Bandipora area of north Kashmir, late on Monday night. Mortar has also been released by Pakistan. According to sources, firing started by Pakistan since Monday night and that is still going on. For the first time after the agreement of 2003, Pakistan has attacked the area with Mortar. However, the Indian army has also given the same answer in their language.

According to Army sources, the firing from Pakistan is being done to infiltrate the terrorists. Pakistan’s attempt is that they try to mislead the Indian army by firing, so that the terrorists can infiltrate into India.

It is notable that a terrorist was arrested with eight grenades in Jammu on August 5, police officials claimed to have planned a major terror plot to trigger blasts in the winter capital, few days before the Independence Day. The man was planning to go to Delhi and give the explosives to his contact.

It is notable that Pakistan has contravention the ceasefire several times this year too. In May, Pakistan often violated ceasefire but the Indian army had given the concrete answer to it. After that, Pakistan had appealed to appease itself and had requested to stop it.

The two sides had agreed to “fully implement the ceasefire understanding of 2003 in letter and spirit forthwith and to ensure that henceforth the ceasefire would not be violated by both sides,” said the statement.

The Centre had said 55 civilians and security personnel have been killed in alleged ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) and in firing across the international border with Pakistan so far in 2018.
