Pakistan Launched Fake Aarogya Setu App, Data of Indian Users On Target

New Delhi: Pakistan is not improving and spying even during the coronavirus crisis. Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI has created a fake Aarogya Setu App to spy on Indians. This app was developed in April 2020. Now this app version has been launched.

With the help of ISI, hackers are trying to make this app available to Indian bureaucracy and defense related institutions. Also, Indians are also being targeted by this. It looks and works like a fake app. Whoever downloads this app will get all the information available to the hackers of Pakistan. From phone details to location information also gets leaked. Maharashtra Cyber Cell is investigating the case.

The central government has made it mandatory for all government employees to download the Aarogya Setu app. Taking advantage of this, Pakistani hackers have designed a fake app with the intention of spying on India.

Maharashtra Cyber Cell IG Yashaswi Yadav said that the Maharashtra Cyber Department has come to know about the very dangerous software. Under this, sensitive data can be stolen from the country. Some Pakistani hackers have created the Fake Aarogya Setu App, through which attempts are being made to steal information from the phones of bureaucrats and defense officials.
