‘OMG’ this “most elusive species” will take your hurt out

NPnews24 Online: A snow leopard was spotted at Uttarakhand’s Gangotri National Park as a video of the rare sight widely circulated across social media.

Parveen Kaswan from the IFS posted the short clip on Twitter and described the snow leopard as the “most elusive species” in the world.

In the video, snow leopard is seen taking a stroll at the National Park which it crosses a bridge and swiftly climbs a mountain. “The ghost of the #Mountains. Snow #Leopard one of the most elusive #species in the world sighted at Gangotri National Park, Uttarakhand. And that also on a road. Forwarded by an IFS officer,” Kaswan captioned the video.

The snow leopard is known to live in the higher Himalayan regions. The pioneer reports that the snow leopard is a scheduled I animal under wildlife Protection Act.
