Oil companies today increased petrol by 30 paise per liter and diesel by 25 paise per liter. In the international market, the price of crude oil is constantly getting stronger. Brent crude has crossed $ 61 a barrel. However, the impact of this increase is seen on the crude oil that comes in the Indian basket after 20-25 days.

Petrol price in Delhi crossed Rs 87
Yesterday and today, the price of petrol and diesel increased by 60 paise per liter. With this, the price of one liter petrol in Delhi has crossed Rs 87. After the increase, petrol in Delhi has been increased to Rs 87.30 per liter and diesel to Rs 77.73 per liter.

Earlier, on February 5, the prices of petrol and diesel had increased by 30 paise. So far this year, petrol has become expensive by Rs 3.89 and diesel by Rs 3.86. Meanwhile, the price of crude oil in the international market has exceeded $ 60 per barrel, the highest in the past year.

The government is not ready to give any relief on petrol and diesel. In contrast, Agri Infra cess has been imposed on petrol and diesel in the budget. However, the government has said that it will compensate for this cess by reducing excise and it will not affect consumers. But the prices of petrol and diesel are constantly increasing.

If the petrol costing around Rs 29 is sold so expensive, it is because the public is paying about Rs 53 as tax. The central government levy excise duty on petrol-diesel and state governments levy VAT. At the same time, petrol prices increase even more due to transport and local body tax in many places.
