Notorious Kalyani Deshpande gets 7 years RI and Rs 10 lakhs fine

Pune :  NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | Along with the notorious Kalyani Deshpande, who made her fortune through prostitution and organised crime in the city, two more have been sentenced to 7 years of hard labor and a fine of Rs 10 lakhs. Public Prosecutor Vijay Fargade, while arguing in this case, demanded maximum punishment for both. Taking into account the arguments and evidence of the public prosecutors, the court has awarded this sentence to the two including notorious Kalyani Deshpande. The case was investigated by retired Assistant Commissioner of Police Nitin Bhosale Patil.

Kalyani Deshpande, who was running a prostitution racket in a society in Kothrud area, was arrested in August 2016. Twenty criminal cases were filed against her at various police stations in Pune. Who is Kalyani Deshpande?

Action was taken under the law of organised crime against Kalyani Deshpande in the case of organised prostitution in Pune city.

More than 20 cases have been registered against her in Chatuhshrungi, Kothrud, Vishrantwadi, Hinjewadi police stations in the city. She was arrested in August 2016 and is currently lodged in Yerawada Jail.
