No release of NTR biopic till further order- Election commission

Npnews24 online:  The Election Commission order producer of the biopic Lakshmi’s NTR and Udyama Simham, which is based on the lives of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N T Rama Rao and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, not to release movie till further order.

Election Commission in its order directing the producers that biopic of late NT Rama Rao, ‘’purported” to depict incumbent state Chief Minister N Chandrababau Naidu in a manner may diminish electoral prospect of his party.

The poll body gives order after it received the complaints regarding these two biopics, earlier in the day, election commission also stalled the release of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s biopic, which may disturb level playing field during election time. It said that biopic material purpose is to have political or individual entity connected to it, and any of the biopic should not display in electronic media during model code of conduct in operation.
