Nirbhaya Case : Convict Mukesh’s Mother begged Ashadevi to Forgive her Son; “She was My Daughter Too”, said Ashadevi

NP NEWS 24: New Delhi: Death warrant has been issued by the Patiala House Court for Nirbhaya’s convicts. The warrant has the orders for hanging all four convicts. As soon as the death warrant was issued, a wave of happiness raged on Nirbhaya’s family, friends and lawyers, on the other hand, the line of worry on the face of the culprits was seen.

As soon as the court proceedings had started, the guilty Mukesh’s mother arrived crying and pleading for the son with moist eyes. Mukesh’s mother went to Nirbhaya’s mother in the courtroom and grabbed the corner of her sari and started speaking in a very begging manner, ‘forgive my son, I beg of his life.’

Nirbhaya’s mother with tears in her eyes said that “She was my daughter too… How can I forget the cruelty that happened to her? I have been waiting for justice for seven years.”

Nirbhaya’s father said that “the day when death penalty given to all four of them is a day like a festival for me. Since 16 December 2012, we have been waiting for justice. Since the day my daughter suffered the cruelty, we have died every single day. My daughter’s last words echos in my ears every day.”

Nirbhaya’s mother said that “after seven years, my daughter will finally get justice. Now even if death comes after getting justice, there is no sorrow. We will be able to tell her that her culprits have been punished.”
