‘Mumbai Police is Not Letting Us Do Anything, We Are Helpless’, Says Bihar DGP

New Delhi : Director General of Bihar Police Gupteshwar Pandey said that Mumbai Police is not letting us do anything, we are helpless. He said that if Mumbai Police had already told us that we would not let you investigate, we would have returned. We wouldn’t have sent our officer. But the way our senior officer was house arrested, he was quarantined and there is no help in the case, this is sending the wrong message across the country. We would be very sorry if we could not bring justice to Sushant.

Gupteshwar Pandey said that the team of Bihar Police had gone to investigate the FIR lodged by Sushant’s father, then they should cooperate in the investigation, but our officer was in turn quarantined. Pandey said that when in the last week of February, Sushant’s father called the Mumbai police and said that Sushant’s life was in danger, then why did the Mumbai Police not take any action on this? If action had been taken, this would not have happened. Gupteshwar Pandey categorically stated that the attitude of the Mumbai Police in this case, is sending wrong messages across the country.

In fact, IPS officer Vinay Tiwari, who arrived in Mumbai from Bihar to lead the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput case, has been forcefully quarantined by BMC officials in Mumbai. The Bihar police has already accused the Mumbai police of not helping them in this matter. After which Bihar Police sent IPS officer Vinay Tiwari to lead the team to Bihar Police in Mumbai to investigate the matter.

Actually according to the rule, if a person comes from another state for more than 5 days from a flight, then he has to be quarantined in Mumbai. While giving a statement on the matter, the chairman of Bihar Police Association said that the IPS officer was not given a place to stay in the IPS hostel earlier. In such a situation, when he made his own arrangements, he was asked his whereabouts. On receiving the address, BMC quarantined Vinay Tiwari due to the fear of Corona.
