Mumbai : Online registration compulsory for Siddhivinayak darshan from March

Mumbai : In view of the increase in the cases of coronavirus, now devotees will have to first register online for Siddhivinayak temple visit in Mumbai. An official associated with the management of the temple has informed that this system will be implemented from March 1.

She said that from next month, only those who register online will be allowed to visit and within an hour only 100 devotees will be allowed inside the temple.

Priyanka Chhapwale, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust, said that at present devotees who do not register for darshan are given QR codes on the spot which allows them to enter the temple.

She said, “But we have decided to stop the QR code system completely from March 1. The devotees who have not already registered till the next order, will not be allowed inside the temple.”

She said, “Only 100 devotees will be allowed to visit with the pre-booked QR code every morning between 7 am and 9 pm.”

Chhapwale said that darshan would be allowed between 8 am and 9 am on the day of Angarki Chaturthi (March 2).
