Modi Cabinet Approves 2 Ordinances, ‘One Country One Market’ Policy For Farmers

New Delhi : In the midst of the Coronavirus crisis, the Union Cabinet met once again today. This meeting was held on Wednesday at the Prime Minister’s residence under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting, which started at around 11 am, lasted for two hours, in which senior ministers took part. Two ordinances have been approved in the Central Cabinet meeting.

Among these, amendments to the Essential Commodities Act, APAC Act have been approved. Now farmers will be able to sell their crops directly and there will be ‘One Country One Market’ for farmers in the country. These decisions will be given in detail in the press conference at 4 pm.

Besides the cabinet decision, the limit of storage of agricultural products has been abolished, only this can be done in the most urgent situation. It was announced in a package of 20 lakh crores. This is the second Modi cabinet meeting held this week.

The second term of Modi government has recently completed one year. In such a situation, a central cabinet meeting was held on this Monday, in which some big decisions were taken regarding MSME sector and farmers.

Corona virus cases are increasing continuously in the country and meanwhile many types of discounts are also being given under Unlock 1. On the other hand, the cyclone storm is also hitting Maharashtra and Gujarat today, in the meantime everyone is eyeing the meeting of the Union Cabinet.

Major decisions were taken in Monday’s meeting
Many big decisions were taken in the Central Cabinet meeting held earlier this week. In this, the central government changed the definition of MSME sector, along with this, now the farmers of the country will be able to sell their crops in any market and any state.
