Metro Tickets Price | Pune Metro Expands Service with Attractive Fare Structure, Tickets Priced at Rs.10, 15-30

Pune: Metro Tickets Price | In a significant move towards seamless connectivity and budget-friendly commuting, the expanded Pune Metro lines will be inaugurated on Tuesday, August 1. Passengers can enjoy hassle-free travel by using PMP (Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd.) bus tickets on the metro, making it a more attractive and economical option for daily commuters.

With the newly introduced routes, direct metro services will now connect Garware College to Ruby Hall Clinic and Pimpri Chinchwad to Shivajinagar Court. The Vanaj to Ruby Hall route will cost Rs. 25, while the Pimpri Chinchwad to Shivajinagar Court route will cost Rs. 30.

Notably, the minimum ticket price for the metro has been set at a pocket-friendly Rs. 10, making it accessible to a wide range of commuters. Other ticket options include Rs. 15, Rs. 20, Rs. 25, and Rs. 30, with the maximum ticket limit being Rs. 30. This fare structure is designed to ensure that metro travel remains affordable and efficient for all sections of society.

Mr. Hemant Sonawane, Director of Mahametro, stated, “Metro ticket prices have been carefully set to align with PMP tickets. This integration allows passengers to travel comfortably in air-conditioned metros at rates equivalent to PMP tickets. It not only saves time but also provides a smoother and more enjoyable commuting experience.”

The expanded routes will significantly reduce travel time for passengers. The metro will cover the distance between Vanaj and Ruby Hall in just 20-25 minutes, and the journey between Pimpri Chinchwad and Shivajinagar Court will be completed in 25-30 minutes. Each metro station will have a brief stoppage time of approximately one minute, depending on passenger footfall.

The integration of PMP bus tickets with the metro aims to boost ridership and provide a seamless transportation experience to the citizens of Pune. The authorities at Mahametro expect a positive response from passengers, especially for the Vanaj to Sambhaji Bridge and Mahapalika Bhavan route, which will further enhance connectivity and convenience.

As Pune moves towards a more integrated and efficient public transport system, the metro expansion is a step towards a greener and sustainable future. With air-conditioned coaches and affordable fares, the metro is poised to become the preferred mode of transportation for thousands of daily commuters.
