Pune Crime News | Mundhwa police arrest two persons for stealing money from grocery shop

PUNE: Pune Crime News | An incident of money being stolen from the counter of a grocery store when the owner of the shop was away, had taken place at Vathare Mala in the limits of Mundhwa police station on July 22. The police probed the case and arrested the two accused.

 

The accused have been identified as Chandrakant Raju Jadhav (24) and Rahul Ishwar Sitapure (29), both residents of Mundhwa. The owner of the grocery shop has lodged a complaint at the Mundhwa police station. The police have registered an FIR against unknown persons under sections 380 and 34 of the IPC.

 

The police checked the CCTV footage of the grocery shop and the CCTV footage from across the road. After examining the footage from 50 CCTVs, the accused were arrested. When they were questioned, they admitted committing the crime. The stolen amount has been recovered from them.
