Man threatens to kill wife saying he is friends with Police Commissioner’s driver

Pune: Husband threatened to kill his wife after an argument broke out between them stating that he was ‘friends with the driver of Police Commissioner’. The court has ordered an inquiry in the case after the woman registered a complaint with Dattawadi Police station.

Lalita Vitthal Bhandari (age 40, resident of Janata Vasahat Parvati, Pune) has lodged a complaint. A case has been registered against Gopinath Vitthal Wagh, Jyotiba Wagh and Anil Kale at Dattawadi police station.

According to the police, the plaintiff, and Gopinath Wagh were married for few years. The couple was in a family dispute, fighting it in court. Lalita wanted to buy a house and was collecting funds for the same. She had collected and kept Rs 75,000 and jewelry in the house. Later, she couldn’t find the jewelry and asked Gopinath whether he had stolen it. Then, Gopinath said, “I have stolen the jewelry, Do whatever you want to as I am friend’s with Police Commissioner’s driver” and threatened to kill her saying that he knew Anil Kale well.

However, police inspector Krishna Indalkar said that Anil Kale had no information about this. The plaintiff had approached the court in this regard. Accordingly, the court has ordered to file a case and investigate. Dattawadi police are conducting further investigation.
