Man commits suicide after killing 2 minor sons in Tathawade

There was a panic in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Saturday when a father committed suicide by hanging himself with his two children. The incident took place in Tathawade under Wakad police station.

The deceased persons have been identified as Deepak Barman (35) and his sons Shubham (10) and Rupam (8).

According to the police, Barman hailed from Kolkata, West Bengal and lived in Narsinh Colony in Tathawade with his wife and children. He worked with a private company nearby.

The incident came to light around 2 pm when his wife returned home from work. She found them hanging.

After getting information, police reached the spot and rushed them to YCM Hospital in Pimpri. Barman was declared brought dead, while the two children died during treatment.

The reason their murder and suicide is yet to be known. Police are further investigating the case.
