Man arrested for sending obscene messages, photos on Facebook

A 30-year-old man has been arrested by the Cyber Crime Cell of Pune city police Crime Branch for allegedly sending obscene messages and pictures on the Facebook wall of his neighbor woman using a fake account.

The arrested accused has been identified as Aniket Dongre, a resident of Kasba Peth.

According to police, the accused had created a fake account in the name of Mady Disuza and sent obscene messages and pictures to the woman on Facebook.

After she lodged a complaint with the cyber cell, the officials tracked Dongre and handed him over to Faraskhana police station for further investigation.

DCP (cyber crime cell) Jyotipriya Singh, ACP Nilesh More supervised the investigation team which included police inspector Radhika Phadke, PSI Roopali Pawar, and police personnel Madhuri Doke, Kiran Abdagire, Anup Pandit, and Adesh Chalwadi.
