Man arrested for killing wife out of suspicion in Buldhana

BULDHANA:  A man was arrested for killing his wife in Mehkar taluka on Friday, the police said.

The accused Ganesh Bhikaji Pahare, resident of Shelgaon Deshmukh strangulated his wife out of suspicion of having an affair on March 3. The deceased’s brother, Ravi Sukhedav Simre, resident of Malegaon, Washim district, has lodged a complaint in this regard.

According to the police, Ganesh Pahare was married to Narmadabai (37) in 2002. The couple has five children. Meanwhile, Ganesh was always sceptical of his wife’s character and suspected her of having an affair. He used to harass his wife physically and mentally.

On March 3, an argument broke out between the couple and in a fit of rage, Ganesh killed Narmada. Narmada’s brother received information about the incident. He then lodged a complaint against Ganesh Pahare.

Police Sub-Inspector Shivaji Rathore is conducting further investigation under the guidance of Police Inspector Deepak Pawar.
