Maharashtra: Theaters, multiplexes, swimming pools reopen today

Mumbai : Theaters and multiplexes, which have been closed for a long time due to Coronavirus havoc and lockdown, are opening from today. Theaters, play-theaters, multiplexes, swimming pools and yoga institutions located outside the Containment Zone in Maharashtra are reopening today i.e. from November 5. For this, the state government has issued a guideline. Theaters, and multiplexes will be allowed to operate with a seating capacity of 50 per cent, as per the guidelines of the Maharashtra government. There will be no arrangement of any kind of food items inside them.
In fact, all these establishments have been closed since the lockdown was implemented in March to prevent the coronavirus. Last month, permission was given to reopen hotels and bars in the state. According to the new government guidelines, swimming pools used for training of state, national and international players and swimming pools located outside the restricted areas can be reopened on November 5.
Apart from this, Yoga Institute, Badminton Hall, Tennis, Squash Court, Indoor Shooting Range can also be opened from Thursday. The guidelines state that physical distance and sanitization should be ensured. The remaining lockdown restrictions have already been extended until 30 November.

There have been 5,505 new cases of Covid-19 in Maharashtra, after which the total number of infected people has increased to 16,98,198. The state health department said that 125 people died due to infection and with this the number of dead people increased to 44,548. The official said that 8,728 patients have been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours, after which the number of people recovering increased to 15,40,005. He informed that now 1,12,912 patients are being treated in the state. At the same time, 983 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Mumbai, after which the total number of infected people increased to 2,60,840. After the death of 29 people, the number of dead increased to 10,352.
