Maharashtra Rejoices as more than 50 Police officers are awarded medals

Many policemen from Maharashtra have been awarded medals for their excellent performances. Reportedly 55 policemen will be honored. Along with these officials, four prison police personnel are also included.

This Independence Day, 942 police officers have been awarded with medals. Of these, two officers have been awarded President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPMG), 177 personnel were awarded with Shaurya Chakra Gallantry award, 88 officers were awarded with the President’s Police Medal for special service, and 675 personnel were honored with Police Medals for their special services.

From Maharashtra, eight Police personnel were honored with Gallantry award, three personnel were awarded President’s Police Medal for special service and 40 personnel for policemen for outstanding service.

On the occasion of Independence, the President has approved 36 prisoners were awarded with Sudharak Service medal. This includes President’s Police medal for outstanding Service to 31 personnel.

In this, Kallappa Mallappa Kumbhar (Subedar), Yerawada Central Jail, Kailas Shalik Bauskar (Havaladar), Mumbai District Women’s jail, Sanjay Rajaram Ji Talwar (Shipai), Nagpur Central Jail, Raju Vitthal Hat (Shipai), Nagpur Central Jail which included police guardians as well.
