Maharashtra: Home department issues guidelines for private buses

Mumbai : Private contract buses have been allowed to carry tourists and passengers at 10 per cent capacity. Guidelines in this regard were issued by the Home Department. However, enforcement of the rules imposed on Covid’s background has been made mandatory. Vehicles should be kept clean and disinfected, passenger buses should be disinfected every day / at the end of each round trip, bus reservation room-office, inquiry room should be cleaned from time to time and staff should always use mask, sanitizers. Care must be taken to ensure that the bus stops are not crowded.

– Passengers entering the bus should be checked with a thermal gun.

– If a traveler shows the initial symptoms of covid illness like fever, cold-cough, then they should be prevented from travelling.

– Passengers should also be instructed to take care to maintain physical distance during the journey.

– Everyone’s records should be kept, instructions have been given in this regard. It is mandatory to keep a record of all these.
