Little Master Chef: A Non-Gas Cooking Competition for Children

We see many children around enthusiastically helping their parents in cooking at home, but they hardly get an opportunity to show their skills beyond their family. Little Master Chef competition has been organized by Rotary Club of Pune Heritage for such children to show off their culinary abilities.

The competition will be held on Sunday, 2nd September, on the occasion of ‘Gokul Ashtami’. To ensure the safety of the children, only recipes without using gas will be allowed. The event will be carried out at Mahesh Vidyalaya in Kothrud in multiple batches from 10 am to 5 pm. Age groups are 8 to 10 years and 11 to 14 years. Entry fees for the competition are Rs 200.

Celebrity Chef Tushar Priti Deshmukh will especially travel from Mumbai to judge the competition.

President of Rotary Club of Pune Heritage, Mohan Chaubal, said in a press conference held in Pune Union of Working Press Journalist, “ We have received more than 80 entries from 21 schools in Pune. This Little Master Chef is happening for the first time. The specialty of this competition is it is without gas. So that kids who live alone as both father and mother works can make food for themselves without gas.”

In this press conference, Secretary of Rotary Club of Pune Heritage Harshada Bavankar and Competition Organizer Deepa Bartakke were present.

The organization conducts various competitions to encourage people in different age groups to develop hobbies, present their skills and get recognized. This is the first time they are organizing an event for children and the response is very exciting. While the winners will be rewarded with attractive prizes, the organizers are taking a lot of effort to ensure that every participant enjoys the competition.
