Kolkata police arrest BJP leader Pamela Goswami with cocaine 

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) youth leader has been arrested on Friday (February 19) in West Bengal for allegedly possessing cocaine in her car. The BJP youth leader has been identified as Pamela Goswami. Her car was stopped by police on New Alipore area and 100 grams of cocaine was recovered from her car.

Her friend Probir Kumar Dey has also been arrested from NR Avenue in New Alipore area of Kolkata.

Pamela Goswami is the state secretary of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) while her associate, Prabir Kumar Dey, is also attached with BJP, according to sources.

She was arrested from inside her car on Friday for carrying cocaine.

The Kolkata police had received a tip-off regarding the illegal possession of narcotics and had observed her movements. According to the police, Goswami would often stop at a particular spot.

Upon stopping her car, the police seized narcotics drugs from her bag and car seat. A security personal was also present in Pamela Goswami’s car.
