Kathua Case: Six guilty of 8-year-old’s Rape, Murder
Npnews24 online Pathankot : Six men have been found guilty of an eight-year-old girl’s gang-rape, torture and killing in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua in January last year, which deeply shocked and disturbed the entire country and led to street protest across the country.

Sanji Ram, who was believed to be the mastermind, was one of those convicted by special fast-track court in Pathankot. His son is let off, over lack of evidence.
As, the sentence is reserve till 2 pm, minimum sentence is of life imprisonment and maximum is of Death Penalty.Accused were facing charges under sections 302, 376, 201 and 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).

According to the chargesheet the victim was kept in captivity for rape before she was bludgeoned to death. The allegations included that the victim was used as a pawn to dislodge the body.
