MoU between ‘Indrani Balan Foundation’ and ‘Art of Living’

Pune : In a philanthropic endeavour aimed at bolstering education infrastructure in the country, the Indrani Balan Foundation has pledged a generous donation of Rs 3 crore to the ‘Art of Living Institute’. The foundation’s commitment was solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two entities, signalling a collaborative effort towards educational upliftment.

The signing ceremony, held at the Art of Living’s Triveni Ashram in Pune, saw the esteemed presence of Spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and his sister Bhanumati. This agreement underscores the shared commitment of both organisations towards nurturing educational excellence and empowering communities.

Driven by a longstanding commitment to educational initiatives, the Indrani Balan Foundation has earmarked this substantial contribution to support the establishment of schools across three villages. Under the terms of the MoU, the foundation will facilitate the construction of essential infrastructure, including classrooms, toilets, and other amenities, fostering a conducive learning environment for students.

At the Shikhar Shingnapur school, the foundation’s support will encompass the provision of four classrooms, essential sanitation facilities, and classroom infrastructure. Additionally, the donation will facilitate the acquisition of 32-seater school buses, enhancing accessibility for students.

Similarly, at the Dahigaon school, the foundation will help in the construction of four classrooms, toilets, and classroom infrastructure, ensuring the holistic development of educational facilities.

In Devachi Zali village, the foundation will help in the construction of essential amenities, including four classrooms, toilets, and classroom infrastructure, fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth. For this initiative, it is expected that the ‘Indrani Balan Foundation’ would incur a cost of approximately Rs 3 crore.

Punit Balan, a renowned young entrepreneur and President of the Indrani Balan Foundation, expressed profound admiration for the Art of Living’s multifaceted social initiatives spanning spirituality, education, and environmental conservation. He emphasised that the foundation’s contribution reflects a collective aspiration to partake in noble endeavours that uplift communities and nurture future generations.
