India’s first CNG-powered tractor launched, farmers will be able to run more than 15 years

New Delhi : Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday launched the country’s first CNG-powered tractor. He said that farmers will be able to save one lakh rupees annually by using CNG tractors instead of diesel. CNG tractors will reduce air pollution by 80 percent, while there will be no restriction on driving them under the new emission standard and such tractors have a life of minimum 15 years.

In the government’s scrap policy, there is a plan to remove 15 years old commercial vehicles. Nitin Gadkari said this on Friday in the program of launching CNG tractors converted from diesel to bio-CNG engines. He did not mention anything about the price of the change in the technology of the tractor. Gadkari said that initially technology is expensive but later becomes very cheap. By which the common man can adopt it.

With the help of CNG tractor, farmers will be able to save money, along with this, technology centers will be opened in villages and towns to convert from diesel to CNG. Due to which people will get employment on a large scale. There is a plan to make bio-CNG from farming, wheat, paddy and agriculture etc. The government wants to reduce the eight lakh crore spent every year on the export of petroleum products. This would be by promoting alternative fuels.

According to the plan, in the first phase, city buses, taxis, cars, scooters and motorcycles will be brought on alternative fuels in the cities. After this interstate public bus service and trucks will be replaced on alternative fuels.

Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that India is third in the world after China and America in terms of fuel consumption. In the next 10 years, India will reach the first position in the world. For this, alternative fuels are being promoted in collaboration with the Ministry of Road Transport. The government has planned to purchase an alternative fuel of 20 thousand crores this year. The government will allow open alternative fuel pumps on the lines of petrol pumps. The government is working on the National Hydrogen Mission.
