IMD Predicts Another Cyclone Storm in Coastal Areas of Odisha

Bhubaneshwar: The Meteorological Department has reported cyclonic storms in the coastal areas of Odisha and its adjoining areas. Its speed has been predicted from 2.1 km to 5.8 kmph. Earlier, the Meteorological Department had predicted a cyclone tilting southward between 0.9 km-7.6 km.

The Indian Meteorological Department had predicted a storm in Odisha on Monday. The Meteorological Department had said that a cyclonic circulation is seen to occur between 0.9 km -7.6 km southward in the marine area in the interior and surrounding areas of Odisha. The storm was also expected to move northwest in the next three days.

It is worth noting that earlier in Odisha, due to the Amphan storm, many districts had suffered a lot of damage. Due to this severe storm, many areas of Odisha and West Bengal were damaged due to heavy rains and thunderstorms and many houses were damaged. Not only this, many people had to lose their lives due to this cyclone.

Meanwhile, mild tremors were felt in Odisha on Monday. The earthquake occurred at 4.40 pm in the Kashipur region of Raigadha district of Odisha. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred 125 km northeast of Jagdalpur in the evening at 7.46 pm with a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale. At the same time, the earthquake was felt in the state of Mizoram in North Eastern India. There was an earthquake 27 km southwest of Champai, measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale.
