Image of Security Forces is Being Spoiled By Some Web Series, Ministry of Defense Wrote Letter to CBFC

New Delhi : The Ministry of Defense has received some complaints about the depiction of Indian Army personnel and military uniform in several web series and films. In fact, some web series like Code M of Zee 5 and XXX Uncensored of ALT Balaji have shown some such scenes which are far from the truth and the image of the security forces has also been tarnished.

In this case, many people and ex-servicemen organizations have also registered an FIR against ALT Balaji. The FIR calls for legal action against the producer and the OTT (over the top) platform. After this, now the Ministry of Defense has formally written to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Nitish Kumar also demanded censorship
It is known that the demand for censorship has been rising on the OTT platform for quite some time. Only last month, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for censorship on OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime. For this, he claimed that these platforms are responsible for violence and increase in crimes against women and children.
