IAS-turned-Politician Shah Faesal detained at Delhi airport

Npnews24 online, Srinagar: Former IAS officer Shah Faesal was detained by authorities at the Delhi international airport and sent back to Kashmir, officials added.

Faesal, a vocal critic of the Narendra Modi government’s decision to scrap the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcate the state, was sent back to Srinagar.

Security was stepped up in the valley and movement further restricted ahead of Independence Day tomorrow, even as the government said restriction imposed after the repeal of Article 370 would be removed in a phased manner.
