Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Police Crime News | “I am a tough task master, I want work getting done, I will get it done,” says Commissioner of Police (CP) Retesh Kumaarr. In a veiled warning to the concerned in-charge police officers, CP Kumar has given orders to take strict action against criminals from time to time. In the backdrop of increasing crime in the city, the Pune Police have launched a special drive to take action against criminals. Accordingly, preventive action has been taken against 3,700 criminals on record in the last few days. While taking action during the combing operation, the CP has launched a special campaign to curb crime. (Pune Police Crime News)

 

In order to bring crime under control in Pune city, the CP has emphasized on reducing crime by keeping an eye on the movement of criminals committing crimes or organised crime. Actions such as combing operations, criminal checking, criminal exchange are being implemented to curb criminals on record.

 

Since assuming charge, CP Retesh Kumaarr has taken action under the MCOCA against 65 criminals of nine criminal gangs in the city. Three criminals have been detained, out of these, two have been lodged at the Kolhapur Central Jail and one at the Nashik Central Jail. As many as 42 criminals have been expelled from Pune city, Pune district and Pimpri-Chinchwad area.

 

The CP has adopted a policy of taking strict preventive action against active criminals. Henceforth, effective preventive action will be taken to curb the activities of criminals.
