Huge hoarding fell down; 2 dead 6 injured

A huge hoarding at Shahir Amar Shaikh Chowk near Juna Bazar fell down, 6 are seriously injured, while 2 died on spot. Many auto rickshaws have been damaged and 3 fire brigade trucks have rushed the spot. Police officers have also reached the spot. Rescue operation has been started.

Shahir Amar Shaikh Chowk has several hoardings and big advertisements boards. As it is one of the most crowed areas of Pune. One of the major hording collapsed on Friday around 1.30 in the afternoon.

As it happened all of a sudden, many auto rickshaws have been damaged. About 5 to 6 people are seriously injured in the incident. The injured has been rushed in to the Sassoon Hospital. Meanwhile all the senior police officials have reached the spot.

The photo shows that it incident has crushed the auto’s under the hording. Till now the reason of collapse is unknown. But as it looks the hording was old and was not being used.

The names of the deceased are Shamrao Gangadhar Kasar (70) , Sham Rajaram Dhotare (45).

The names of injured are Shivaji Devidas Pardeshi (40), Kiran Somnath Thosar(22), Yashwant Rama Khobare, Mahesh Auchekar, Rukmini Pardeshi.

The traffic of the area are being diverted by the traffic police. The incident has created a traffic jam in the area and police is trying to clear it.
