Home Ministry Gives 11,092 Crores to States to Fight Corona

New Delhi : The whole world is panic by the coronavirus epidemic. Its effect is now seen in India as well. 86 people have died here due to corona. While the total number of patients is 3127. In view of Corona’s crisis, during the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing, the state governments had raised the issue of lack of funds in the state in front of the Center. After which the Ministry of Home Affairs said that there will be no lack of funds for the states in the fight against Corona.

According to the report, the Home Ministry has released Rs 11,092 crore on Friday. This money will go directly to the States Disaster Management Fund. A senior Home Ministry official said that Home Minister Amit Shah ordered the states to release the amount of the Disaster Management Fund for 2020-21 in advance. The central government has directed the states to use the Disaster Management Fund for fighting Corona. In a notification issued on March 14, the  Disaster Management Fund to ensure the availability of essential equipment, ranging from building special hospitals to states while allowing them to be used against Corona.

After the lockdown on 24 March, the states were allowed to use this fund to prevent the return of large numbers of migrant laborers and to make arrangements for stay and food for them.
