Hisar Man Hangs Himself After Not Getting Salary, Live Streams On Facebook

New Delhi: Truck driver Pawan, resident of Triveni Vihar Colony in Uklana, died of suicide on Saturday night by coming live on the social media. The youth accused the truck owners of not paying three years’ salary in the video.
The police registered a case against four people on the statement of the deceased’s cousin. The family blocked the Sirsa-Chandigarh road in front of Uklana bus base demanding arrest of the accused.
Police reached the spot and took the body and sent it for postmortem. While giving the information, Investigating Officer ASI Satpal Singh said that he had received information about Pawan, a 30-year-old resident of Triveni Bihar in Ukala that he completed suicide by coming live on Facebook.
In the complaint to the police, the deceased’s cousin Chandramohan said, “Pawan Kumar Khedar, 35, was a truck driver at the thermal plant. He has two daughters and a son. Whenever Pawan came home, he used to tell the mother and wife that Purushottam resident of Hansi, Anil of Balak, Kuldeep Sarpanch and Sunil resident of Badhavad have not been paying salary for three years.”
He used to tell them that they disturb him physically and mentally. Threatens that if he leaves the truck driving job, he will not even pay the previous salary. Pawan was at home for 6-7 days and was upset. On Saturday night at around 11 am, he came live on the social media and tried to hang the noose, but the family members had then put him to sleep. After this, he came live again and hanged himself.
