Himachal: Father angry with son for joining ‘Farmers Protest’ evicts him from property

Hamirpur : Angry at the son’s involvement in the ongoing farmers’ agitation in Delhi in protest against agricultural laws in Himachal Pradesh, the father has evicted him from his movable and immovable property. This is the first case of this kind being reported in the country.

Ajmer Singh, a former soldier of Jamali village in Badsar, subdivision of Hamirpur district, supported the agricultural laws, saying that his only son Paramjit Singh does not even know when to harvest the crop. Eats free food while sitting at home.

The former soldier, calling the movement wrong, appealed to the Delhi Police to break the bones of his traitorous son who was involved in the movement. Ajmer Singh retired from the Indian Army in the year 2005. After retirement, he runs a shop in his village and does farming to earn a living.

Paramjeet is their only son, who is married. The daughter-in-law and granddaughter are at home, while the son arrived in Delhi three-four days before to participate in the peasant movement. Ajmer Singh identified his son while he was giving an interview on a channel. In an interview on the local channel, Paramjeet justified the farmers’ movement and raised slogans against the Prime Minister and the central government on the channel itself.

Ajmer Singh was enraged after seeing this and now evicted his son from his property. Ajmer Singh said that the peasant movement going on in Delhi is not right. People there are getting free food and other facilities. Ajmer said that he is an ex-serviceman and the farmers’ interest is in the new agricultural law
