Havoc of Amphan Cyclone : A Portion of Kolkata Airport Flooded in Wake of Cyclone Amphan

Kolkata : Cyclon Amphan shook West Bengal. People were shocked when the winds moved at a speed of 165 kilometers per hour. A 40-ton (40 thousand kg) plane at the Kolkata airport also began to vibrate due to strong wind blew because of cyclone Amphan. The entire airport was submerged.

Many people of Bengal say that they had never seen such a storm before, some of the elders said that they had seen such devastation thirty decades ago.

Looking at the plane at Kolkata airport, it seems as if it is landed on a river. The wheels of the plane are completely immersed in water. Only water is visible everywhere.

Cyclone havoc continued in Bengal for about six hours. So far 12 people have died due to cyclone in Bengal. The flights of cargo services at the airport were also closed.

Amphan drowned many places in Kolkata. Some parts of the airport have been affected by strong winds. The view of the runway looks like a huge river. Hangers area also appeared waterlogged.

People saw this for the first time at Kolkata Airport. Plans of 40 tons were also trembling shaking due to the speed of the storm. Chokes (blockers) were attached to their wheels so that it doesn’t get damaged by colliding with each other.
