Govt. Said ‘These’ Employees Do Not Need to Come Office, Personnel Ministry Issued Notification

New Delhi : Pregnant women employees will be exempted from coming to office. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said this on Wednesday. He said that a notification has been issued in this regard and it is expected that it will be followed by all the Ministries and Departments as well as the States and Union Territories.

Personnel Minister Jitendra Singh said that pregnant women employees who are not on maternity leave will be exempted from coming to office. Similarly, specially abled employees are also exempted from coming to office. The new notification issued by the Ministry of Personnel and Training stated that government employees who were undergoing treatment before the lockdown of a critical illness would be able to get exemption from visiting the office by presenting a consultation letter of the treating physician.

He said that the important thing is that the time of movement of officers and employees in the office should be different. Heads of all departments have been advised to ensure three shifts to reduce unnecessary congestion. These timings will be 9 am to 5 pm, 9:30 am to 6 pm and 10 am to 6:30 pm.

All officers up to the level of deputy secretary will have to come to the office on all working days, while officers and employees below the deputy secretary level have been asked to come to office on alternate day. Those who do not come to the office will have to work from home and be available on telephone and electronically.
