Govt. Orders Withdrawal of 100 Companies Of Paramilitary Forces From J&K



New Delhi : The Union Home Ministry has reviewed the deployment of paramilitary forces in Jammu and Kashmir. The government has decided to withdraw companies of various paramilitary forces from the Union Territory. It is worth noting that this decision has been taken at a time amid ongoing tensions with China. Not only this, former Union Minister Manoj Sinha has been made the Deputy Governor of this Union Territory. With the appointment of a new Lieutenant Governor in the state, the central government’s emphasis is on normalizing the situation at a rapid pace.

Recently, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has taken a major decision and restored 4G mobile internet service in two districts of the state on trial basis. 4G mobile internet service has been restored in Ganderbal district of Kashmir division and Udhampur district of Jammu division from 9 pm on Sunday. The government’s emphasis is also on creating a conducive atmosphere for the assembly elections.

The administration has recently constituted a committee to restore economic activities in Jammu and Kashmir. The committee will take stock of the economic environment. The administration has also decided that a review will be done on the guidelines for the registration and license renewal of the houseboat. Recently, the decision was taken by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha while talking to the representatives of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Srinagar while listening to the problems of the business class. The administration has also extended the power bill waiver scheme till 30 September 2020.
