Government’s New Scheme For Migrant Laborers, Employment will be Provided in 116 Districts



New Delhi : During the Corona crisis, a large number of migrant laborers have returned home. In such a situation, the crisis of employment of workers has arisen. In the midst of this situation, the central government is going to start a special campaign. The name of this scheme is poor welfare employment. PM Narendra Modi will launch the scheme on June 20. At the same time, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed the media about this scheme on Thursday.

Under this scheme, migrant laborers migrating from different parts of the country to their respective villages will be provided employment. Along with this, the campaign will start in 116 districts of six states of the country. On the occasion of starting the campaign on June 20, the Chief Ministers of these states and the ministers will also be connected through video conferencing.

Under this scheme being started at a cost of Rs. 50 thousand crores, 25 types of work will be given to the workers. The states that will benefit from this scheme include Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Odisha. It is being claimed to get employment to 25 thousand migrant laborers. The government claims that skill mapping of laborers has been done.

Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the auction process of 41 coal blocks for the private sector. During this, PM Modi said that today we are not only starting the auction process for commercial coal mining, but also taking the coal sector out of decades of lockdown.
