Fourth standard student commits suicide watching TV

AURANGABAD : NP NEWS 24 ONLINE-In a shocking incident, an 11-year-old boy who studies in fourth-class allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself. This incident happened in CIDCO area of Aurangabad on Wednesday evening.

The deceased boy has been identified as Vikas Machhindra Pawar. It is suspected that he followed suicide scene on television and committed the act.

According to police, Vikas was the only son of his parents. He has two sisters. His father is an ex-serviceman. Both the parents worked in a private company in the MIDC area. They had gone to work, while the two sisters were in school. Vikas was alone in the house when the incident took place.

Around 4.15 pm, when the sisters came home they found Vikas hanging with the help of dupatta from ceiling fan. They informed their father who rushed to home and then with the help of neighbors took Vikas to hospital. However he was declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case of accidental death (AD) and have began investigation looking into all the possibilities.
